1. Privacy at a Glance
General Information
The following notes provide a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website. Personal data is any data that can be used to personally identify you. Detailed information on the subject of data protection can be found in our privacy policy listed below this text.
Data Collection on our Website
Who is responsible for the data collection on this website?
The data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator. You can find the operator's contact details in the Impressum (legal notice) of this website.
How do we collect your data?
On one hand, your data is collected when you communicate it to us. This can be, for example, data that you enter into a contact form.
Other data is collected automatically or with your consent when you visit the website by our IT systems. These are primarily technical data (e.g. internet browser, operating system or time of page view). This data is collected automatically as soon as you enter this website.
What do we use your data for?
Part of the data is collected to ensure error-free provision of the website. Other data can be used to analyze your user behavior.
What rights do you have regarding your data?
You have the right to receive information about the origin, recipient and purpose of your stored personal data free of charge at any time. You also have the right to request the correction or deletion of this data. If you have given your consent to data processing, you can revoke this consent at any time for the future. You also have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data under certain circumstances. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
2. Hosting & Content Delivery Networks (CDN)
Firebase Hosting
We host our website at Firebase Hosting (a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; parent company: Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA).
When you visit our website, Firebase Hosting collects your IP address and stores it temporarily in log files to deliver the website and ensure the security of the service. The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in providing our website safely and quickly (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR).
Google also processes data in the USA. The transfer of data to the USA is based on the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) of the EU Commission. Details can be found here: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
3. Contact Form & Web3Forms
If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your details from the inquiry form, including the contact details you provided there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.
The processing of this data is based on Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR if your request is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of the inquiries addressed to us (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR) or on your consent if requested.
We use the external service Web3Forms (a service provided by Web3Forms, with servers located in the European Union) to process the contact form. Web3Forms receives the form data via a secure HTTPS protocol and forwards it to us by email. Web3Forms does not store your form data permanently on its servers. For more information, please see Web3Forms' privacy policy: https://web3forms.com/privacy.
4. Plugins and Tools
Self-hosted Web Fonts
This site uses web fonts for uniform representation of fonts. These fonts are installed locally on our server or our webspace (Firebase Hosting). A connection to servers of Google Fonts or other third parties is not established when loading the fonts. This prevents your IP address from being transmitted to Google. This is in the interest of a secure, fast and GDPR-compliant provision of our website (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR).
YouTube with Enhanced Privacy Mode
This website embeds videos from YouTube. The operator of the pages is Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
We use YouTube in enhanced privacy mode. According to YouTube, this mode means that YouTube does not store information about visitors to this website before they watch the video. Due to the lazy loading facade mechanism of our website, a connection to YouTube servers is only established when you actively click on the thumbnail of a video to play it. Only through this click do you grant consent to data transfer to YouTube (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR).
For more information about YouTube's handling of user data, please see their privacy policy at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.
